‘ওয়ান ল্যাপটপ ওয়ান ড্রিম আমরাই শুরু করেছি’ || "We've started One Laptop One Dream '

তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদ পলক বলেছেন, ‘দরিদ্র মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ওয়ান ল্যাপটপ ওয়ান ড্রিম আমরাই শুরু করেছিলাম। ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণের জন্য সকল শিশুর স্বপ্ন বাস্তবে রূপ দিতে হবে। আর এজন্য শিশু সাংবাদিকদের এগিয়ে আসতে হবে।’
আজ রোববার দুপুরে রাজধানীর আগারগাঁও-এ বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার কাউন্সিল(বিসিসি) মিলনায়তনে আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।
শিশু সাংবাদিকদের উদ্দেশ্যে প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ বলেন, “তোমরা শহর, গ্রাম ও মহল্লায় প্রতিবেশী দরিদ্র ও মেধাবীদের খুঁজে বের করবে। তোমরাই আসলে ভাল জান, কে অর্থনৈতিকভাবে কষ্টে আছে। কে মেধাবী অথচ একটি ল্যাপটপ নেই।”
আইসিটি ডিভিশন, এক্সিম ব্যাংক ও ‘হ্যালো’ বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকমের সহযোগিতায় ‘ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণে শিশু সাংবাদিকদের তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি প্রণোদনা’ শিরোনামে অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে বিসিসি। অনুষ্ঠানে সারা দেশের ৭৯ জন শিশু সাংবাদিকদের হাতে ল্যাপটপ তুলে দেওয়া হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে পলক বলেন, “গত ছয় বছরে যতগুলো প্রতিশ্রুতি আমরা দিয়েছি, তার সবগুলো একে একে বাস্তবায়ন করছি। ভুল-ত্রুটি হলে আত্মসংশোধনের মাধ্যমে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছি। সরকার ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ নির্মাণ এবং শিক্ষানীতি করাসহ সকল প্রতিশ্রুতিই বাস্তবায়ন করেছে।”
তিনি বলেন, সরকার সকলকে আধুনিক ও প্রযুক্তি শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত করছে। বছরের প্রথম দিনই শিক্ষার্থীদের হাতে ৩৩ কোটি বই পৌছে দেয়া সম্ভব হয়েছে। ২০০৮ সালের আগে খুব কম সংখ্যক প্রতিষ্ঠানেই কম্পিউটার ছিল। সরকার সাড়ে তিনশ’ স্কুলে কম্পিউটার ল্যাব করেছে। ২৫ হাজার স্কুলে ২৫ হাজার মাল্টিমিডিয়া ক্লাস রুম গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
